According to data released by the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), Russia’s output of rolled steel products totaled 18.1 million tons in the first four months of this year, falling by 3.2% year on year. In the given period of time, the country’s crude steel output decreased by 4.1% year on year to 23 million tons. Its pig iron production fell by 1.5% to 16.5 million tons. However, the country’s steel pipe production increased by 4% year on year to 3.2 million tons in January-April.
