Intel's Net Profit Was 2.5 Billion Dollars in Fourth-Quarter, Declined 27%

Intel announced the fourth quarter fiscal situation of 2012. The report showed that Intel's revenue in fourth-quarter was 13.5 billion dollars, declined 3% from 13.9 billion dollars in the same period last year; the net profit was 2.5 billion dollars, decreased 27% from 3.4 billion dollars year-on year.

By the end of the quarter of December 31st, Intel's net profit was 2.5 billion dollars and earnings per share of 48 cents. The performance was less than the same period last year. Intel's net profit in the quarter ended of 2011 was 3.4 billion dollars and earnings per share of 64 cents. Intel's fourth-quarter operating profit fell 31% to 3.2 billion dollars, declined 31% compared with the same period last year of 4.6 billion dollars. Intel's fourth-quarter net profit was 13.5 billion dollars, down 3% compared with the same period last year of 13.9 billion dollars, which analysts had expected. Analysts had expected the average earnings of 45 cents per share in the fourth quarter, and the profit would be 13.5 billion dollars.
