Russia's output of stainless steel products totaled 37,640 tons in the first quarter of this year, rising by 18% year on year, according to data released by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal). Among them, the output of steel long products rose by 6%; that of wire increased by 8.8%; that of steel flat jumped by 16.5% and those of seamless pipe increased by 8.6%, all compared to the figures in the same period of a year ago.
