Masonite's Turnover Did Not Rise as Much in The Second Quarter of 2013

The US door manufacturer Masonite has announced that its turnover did not rise as much in the second quarter of 2013 as it had in previous reporting periods. Revenues increased 4.7 % to US$453.1m in the second quarter after climbing 12.5 % in 2012 as a whole and 6.1 % in the first three months of this year. A 3.9 % improvement in door sales to 8.0m units and acquisitions that closed in 2012 contributed US$8.5m of the revenue growth; an increase in average sales prices generated another US$16.3m. Exchange rate effects slimmed turnover by US$3.3m; its component business made a dent of -US$1.2m. Adjusted EBITDA improved 6.6 % to US$33.5m; the EBITDA margin thus reached 7.4 %. Masonite's total debts totalled US$378.6m at the end of the first half; net debts stood at US$285.6m.
