The output of hardwood lumber within the EU (EU27) rose by 10.7% last year to 9.5m m³. According to the figures presented at this year’s International Hardwood Conference (IHC) in Brasov another slight rise is expected in the output of hardwood lumber this year. The estimates for the seven top producing countries of Turkey, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Croatia, and Poland amount to a total of 8.4m m³, which represents an increase of almost 4%.
