It's reported that the Chinese steelmaker Ansteel released its financial result for the first half of this year. In the first half of this year Ansteel realized operating revenues of RMB36.9 billion, decreasing by 6.24% year on year. However, the company's operating profits surged by 120.53% year on year to hit RMB578 million in the first half of this year. Furthermore, its net profits jumped by 135.53% to RMB1.976 billion in the given period of time. Meanwhile, Ansteel's output of pig iron totaled 10.42 million tons, rising by 4.4%; that of crude steel was at 10.013 million tons, up by 3.82% and that of finished steel was at 9.46 million tons, increasing by 0.73%, all compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
