Total global lighting market revenues predicted to grow to US$150 billion (£89.1 billion) a year by 2020, according to reports.
The majority of the increase will come from LED lighting, which will rise to £53.5 billion. LEDs are expected to make up 60 per cent of the lighting market by 2020.
Lighting costs will be reduced by 30 per cent a year up to 2020.
Lighting recently reported that the global and industrial LED lighting market is predicted to reach £51.3 million by 2019, while the smart lighting market is expected to be worth £33.23 billion by 2020.
