Peru's Iron Ore Production rises by 48.1% in February

In February this year, iron ore production in Peru amounted to 551,533 long tons (560,383 mt), increasing 48.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year but down 6.5 percent compared to January, according to Peru's Energy and Mining Ministry.

In the first two months of 2013, the country's total iron ore production was 1.14 million long tons (1.16 million mt), marking a rise of 27.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
