According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan's shipments of cold rolled (CR) sheets and strips totaled 533,735 tons in February, rising by 5.8% from a month ago while falling by 3.3% year on year. Among them, 45.5% were made to domestic market and the remaining 54.5% were to export markets. Besides, the country' inventories of CR sheets and strips totaled 651,158 tons in February, decreasing by 6.4% month on month and declining by 11.4% yeaar on year. In February, the domestic prices for CR sheets and strips averaged at ¥78,000/ton, remaining flat from a month ago but falling by ¥6,000/ton year on year.
