Taiwan Imported 31,711 Tons of Wire Rods in March,Soaring by 98.8% From a Month Ago

According to data of the customs, Taiwan imported 31,711 tons of wire rods in March, soaring by 98.8% from a month ago. The country's import prices of wire rods averaged at NT$19,345/ton, rising by NT$929/ton from the previous month. In March, Taiwan's imports of wire rods with diameters less than 14mm totaled 29,716 tons, soaring by 97.2% month on month. The import prices averaged at NT$19,165/ton, increasing by NT$819/ton from a month ago. Among them, 11,213 tons were from Russia; 5,610 tons were from Korea; 5,064 tons were from Japan and 4,220 tons were from the UK. Meanwhile, Taiwan exported 222,720 tons of wire rods in March, increasing substantially by 98.8% month on month. The export prices averaged at NT$21,885/ton, rising by NT$567/ton from February.
