The downswing from last week did not continue. The CIF Bremen Index remained on a stable level with marginal ups and downs during the reported week following the New York Cotton Futures and the Cotlook A Index.

Bremen Cotton Index Remains Stable Last Week

On the local market prices were less influenced by the price development in the US as well as Far East and remained firm for promptly available cotton.

The interest in information on the price development as well as on current offers was reflected by the amount of enquiries coming from the industry; yet only few contracts were closed for nearby dates.
