According to data released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai, the country's steel exports made to the non-European countries totaled 3.546 million tons in January-August, falling by 9.2% year on year. In the given period of time, Italy's exports of steel flat products to the non-EU countries fell by 20% and the exports of steel long products to these countries to by 5.2%, both year on year. However, the country's steel imports from the non-European counties totaled 4.868 million tons in January-August, rising by 17.7% year on year.
