There's no shortage of solar-powered chargers and rugged cases for your mobile. But the RokPak combines the two.
It lets you charge your phone using the power of the sun, while keeping your handset safe and sound in a rugged, waterproof box.
It's built to withstand the harshest conditions. It's waterproof certified to an IP67 rating, and has passed Military Standard 810G drop testing. Make no mistake, this mutha is tough.
Its solar panel sucks up the sun's rays, and pipes them to your device using its dual USB charging ports. Because it has standard USB ports, it can charge any electronic device that has the same port, including smartphones, tablets, cameras, GPS systems and more. Though obviously not all of them will fit inside the case.
Its mammoth 12,000mAh lithium ion battery should be enough to charge most smartphones four times, which is mighty impressive. It works in heat of up to 80 degrees Celsius, and in temperatures as cold as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
It's light enough to float on water, and has an interior LED light for seeing what's inside in the dark. Plus there's a four-function LED torch for finding your way at night.
It's raised over $22,000 of a $60,000 goal and still has 35 days to go. If successful, it will ship in June, and cost $169 (£119) on an early bird.
