It's reported that Yieh Hsing, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan released its price policy for October yesterday. The company decided to remain its list prices for wire rods unchanged for October after continuous price rises over the past two months. After the price announcement, its prices for Al-killed wire rods are at NT$21,700/ton; those for rimmed wire rods are at NT$21,400/ton and those for blast furnace (BF) Al-killed wire rods are at NT$20,900/ton. According to understanding, Chinese steel prices have decreased recently and the Taiwanese screw industry performance was not good, causing the demand weak these days. Therefore, Yieh Hsing can only keep the price level flat this month.
