It is learned that Brazilian flat steel imports in March closed with a drop of 21.6%, compared to the previous month. According to the data of Brazil's National Union of Steel Products Distributors (Sindisider), the volume that came from outside of the country reached 90,100 tons in March against 115,900 tons in February. If compared to the same month last year, the number was down by 39.7%. Sindisider also says that the imports in this Q1 totaled 300,300 tons, down by 38% compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, the sales in domestic market grew 12.1% in the February and March.
