Topco held its Shareholders conference on June 17, Dr. J. W. Kuo, the chairman of Topco, expressed on the conference that car LED lights and indoor lighting would be its two main development directions in this year, also Topco plans to access to the hottest plant factory in near future, and integrate its LED and other related materials to provide a complete solution to shipping.
Dr. J. W. Kuo said that Topco LED elements are mainly directly sold to Taiwan light factories, such as TYC and Depo. As for the interior lighting, Topco also developed its own indoor LED lamps for office use, Topco will gradually expand the market layout, and he believes that there will be a good performance for Topco.
In view of solar energy, Dr. J. W. Kuo said Topco has specialized in the sales and production of materials used for solar cell and module, but in fact, regardless of the overall performance of energy, which does not influence on Topco, because Topco focus more on systems. At present, Topco is conducting solar-related projects in Pingtung, Kaohsiung and Tainan, and it is making all efforts to develop solar power business in Japan.
Dr. J. W. Kuo revealed that Topco plans to build a 10MW solar power station in Japan. This solar power station is expected to be put into operation until next year, but even it will be completed before the end of this year.
In terms of the product mix of Topco in Q1, semiconductor materials accounted for 76.4% of the revenue, electronic materials accounted for 13.4%, LED and solar energy accounted for 7.3%, construction accounted for 1.7%, LCD equipments and other materials accounted for 1.2%.
