Japan's Exports of Stainless Steel Products Falls by 19.9% Year on Year

Japan’s exports of stainless steel products totaled 61,186 tons in September, decreasing by 1.4% from a month ago and falling by 19.9% year on year, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance.

In the first months of this year, the country’s exports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 590,585 tons, decreasing by 14.4% in comparison of that in the same period of a year ago.

In the given period of time, South Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese stainless steel flat products with 127,882 tons, falling by 17.25; China was the second largest one with 131,090 tons, decreasing by 19.6%, both compared to that in the same period of a year ago.
