According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's cold rolled steel coil and sheet exports totaled 311,640 metric tons in March this year, rising by 13.7 percent compared to February and up slightly by 0.5 percent year on year.
In the first quarter, Japan's cold rolled steel exports decreased by 0.6 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year, amounting to 803,503 mt.
In the first quarter this year, China was Japan's largest cold rolled steel export destination, receiving a total of 232,288 metric tons, down 12.7 percent, while Japan's exports to Thailand amounted to 117,706 metric tons, rising by 27.4 percent, both year on year.
