Difficulty in obtaining supplies of roundwood from February up to and including April have resulted in production at Russian sawmills showing slight decline of 1.8% to roughly 6.6m m3 in the first four months of 2013. In April , production volume, at roughly 1.8m m3, was down year on year by 3.9%. Softwood lumber production in March showed year-on-year decline of 10.3% and in February of 2.5%. In contrast, on account of higher roundwood deliveries to sawmills, January had shown a rise in production of 4.7%.
