Taiwan's Steel Export Value Decreased by 4.8% in The First Quarter

According to the statistics released by the Taiwanese Ministry of Finance, in March this year Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel amounted to $1.65 billion, increasing by 0.9 percent compared to the same month of 2012 and up 49.5 percent month on month.

In the first quarter of this year, Taiwan's export value of iron and steel and articles made from iron and steel decreased by 4.8 percent from the same period last year, amounting to $4.3 billion. Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2013 Taiwan's import value for the products in question decreased by 0.5 percent compared to the same period of last year to $3.1 billion.
