According to data released by the US Department of Commerce (DOC), the US's steel exports totaled 986,392 tons in July, up by 2% from 965,464 tons in June, boosted by the surged sales to NAFTA. It's learned that the country's steel exports made to NAFTA offset the decreased exports made to other markets. The exports to Canada increased by 2% and those to Mexico rose by 12%. However, the exports to Brazil and China dropped by 24% and 21% respectively.
