In July 2013, global 40W equivalent LED lamp ASP fell 0.6% to US$15.50, with price drops most evident in the US, according to LEDinside. Global ASP for 60W equivalent LED prices dropped 3.3% to US$22.60, with falls most obvious in Europe.
The global 40W equivalent LED ASP fell 0.6% to US$15.50 in July, with US prices plunging the most by 8.4%, said LEDinside. Some existing products have exited the market, while prices for other products continued to slide, and there were no new products on the market during the month. In the UK, the ASP grew 3.6% in July due to price fluctuations of existing products and price increases for certain products. In addition, no new products were released in the UK that month. Furthermore, in Germany the ASP fell 3.9% in July mainly due to currency appreciation and stabilization or the gradual decline of existing product prices.
Additionally, in Japan the 40W equivalent LED lamp ASP advanced 4.2% caused by price fluctuations in existing products and currency depreciation. The ASP in Korea gained 9.8% in July caused by unchanged existing product prices and currency depreciation while China maintained a 40W equivalent LED lamp ASP in July at US$10.20. Existing product prices remained stable and no new products entered the market. In Taiwan, product prices increased by 2% in July, and existing product prices were stabilized mostly due to the entry of highly priced new products, added LEDinside.
