Data from the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality has shown that Shenzhen’s RMB 70 billion LED industry commands half of the market in China. It is hoped that the production value of the industry will double by 2015.
There are 1,500 LED-related corporations in Shenzhen so far, making Shenzhen the main manufacturing base for LED backlights and LED screens.
Favorable policies are one of the positive factors that support the development of Shenzhen’s LED industry. And high brand consciousness is an indispensible factor contributing to the remarkable output.
China expects to see a RMB 500 billion scale LED industry by 2015 and the cost will down 20% compared to 2011.
