South Korea's Basic Steel Export Value Increased by 6.7 Percent in March

According to the data released by the Export and Import Division of South Korea's Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MOTIE), the country's trade balance indicated a $4.19 billion surplus in March this year. Meanwhile, in the first three months this year, the surplus in South Korea's trade balance was recorded as $5.90 billion.

In March, South Korea's basic steel export value increased by 6.7 percent, while the value of the country's ship exports saw an increase of 18.7 percent, both compared to March 2013. Meanwhile, the value of South Korea's automobile exports in March this year increased by 15.9 percent and the value of its general machinery exports decreased by 0.1 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
