Seoul government also said that the plan will expand to private sectors in 2030. It is estimated ton and aid the LED lighting industry.It is estimated that nearly 800000 units of LED light will be installed in the public sectors by 2014, and another 70000 units will be installed in private sectors. In accordance with the estimation of Seoul City, this plan will save 11 gigawatts of electricity each year or 120 billion won ($ 105 million).
Seoul city government also plans to establish intelligent lighting grid including 1.32 million energy-saving street lamps in 2014. In order to encourage private sectors to install, the city will offer a loan scheme which is up to 1 billion won (about $ 870,000) at the interest rate of 2.5%.
