The release of Apple’s iOS 9.3 update has been rocky to say the least. Despite being in public and developer beta for weeks, a number of issues are still affecting users right out of the gate.

Today Cupertino issued its second fix for an issue preventing some users from locked out of their phones after installing the update.

On some older iPhones and iPads, device owners were unable to get past the password authentication screen, effectively bricking the devices.

A specific fix for iPad 2 owners was outed on Friday, and now others affected can download it via iTunes.

A separate issue required to enter the Apple ID and Password used when it was activated for the first time. As thus, those who couldn’t remember old passwords, had purchased a second hand device, or had inherited one from another friend or relative were out of luck.

On Friday, the company posted a guide for getting around this issue.

Further more, another significant bug, publicised on Monday is causing apps to crash whenever users tap or long press web links from within a number of first and third-party iOS apps.

The problem suggests another patch could be on the way, although Apple is yet to officially acknowledge the situation.

iOS 9.3 remains a relatively minor update, headlined by the new Night Shift feature, which automatically adjusts the colour temperature of the display to reflect the time of day.
