Vape A Vet is a project that has been receiving quite a lot of support from various organizations in the electronic cigarette community such as the American Vaping Association. The project aims to help the veterans as well as their families in quitting smoking through provision of free ecig starter kits and eliquids.
AVA said that it is an excellent project, one that is worthy to be supported by consumers and vendors not only in the vaping community.
Vape A Vet
It was in July 2013 when this project was formed. It was recently granted by the IRS with the status of tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This makes the project the first of its kind in the vaping community.
The recent memo of Department of Defense, Stars and Stripes, there would be 175,000 current active duty service members whose lives will be claimed by smoking eelated diseases if there is no action taken.
It is also noted on the same article that the smoking rate in the military is about 30%. It is a rate far higher than the smoking rate in the overall adult population. It underscores the necessity to come up with innovative solutions to the longstanding epidemic in the US on smoke related deaths and illnesses.
Extending Help
The project is open for anyone who wishes to extend help and get involved. There are different ways by which interested participants may support this project’s mission.
Brick And Mortar Retailers
For the brick and mortar retailers, they could opt to carry Bottle Ready to Vape Liquids. All profits to be earned from sale of BRV liquids will be donated to the project and will be used to buy starter kits, pay shipping fees and cover the expenses of support and outreach.
Juice Manufacturers/Mod Makers
Juice manufacturers can also extend help by creating a special blend of flavor and them placing the logo of the project on the ejuice bottle. A portion of that flavor’s sale can be donated to the project.
Mod makers and juice manufacturers alike can also donate to the care packages sent out monthly. Numerous care packages are separated, packaged and distributed on a monthly basis to the soldiers across the globe for free.
Donated items need to be new, not expired and unopened. Ejuices are supposed to be treated like foods. No one would possibly donate a hamburger or any food that is already half eaten, expired or contaminated.
Online Retailers
Online retailers can also extend help by considering making special coupon codes with corresponding donation. The code VAPEAVET is a recommended code to use. Online retailers could offer 5% off to customers and a matching 5% donation to the project.
Vapers
For the ecigarette and vaporizer users themselves, the easiest way of extending support is by purchasing the BRV liquids. Sale of these eliquids is the primary funding mechanism of the project. It is not something you rarely do, but something you actually do already. It would be great if you can vape for a good cause.
Vapers can also talk to their local retailers and then telling them about the project and what it is for. In other words, vapers can help spread the word about this noble mission and encouraging others to get involved, if they are still not.
You can also spread the word further by telling about the project to your relatives and friends and asking them to do the same. You could post on social media networks a message wherein you are inviting other people to join in the mission initiated by the project. Your life has been saved and changed by vaping so it is only appropriate that you let others’ lives be saved and hanged as well.
