According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 3.79 percent year on year to 115,908 metric tons, up 29.09 percent month on month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $69.45 million, down 4.20 percent year on year and increasing by 29.80 percent month on month. In the given month, the average price of Turkey's wire rod exports stood at $599.21/mt, rising $3.29/mt month on month, but down from the average of $601.80/mt recorded in the same month of 2013.
In January of the current year, Turkey's wire rod exports to Israel rose by 224.36 percent to 41,732 mt, while its wire rod exports to Libya increased by 9.64 percent to 16,229 mt, both compared with the same month of 2013.
