DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has opened its new healthcare distribution center in Seoul, South Korea.
Located close to key hospitals in Seoul, the distribution center will manage the emergency deliveries of mainly medical devices.
The 4,300m2 healthcare distribution center has a capacity of over 20,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) and will handle medical supplies, pharmaceutical products and serve hospitals, clinics and pharmacies in the capital area.
The facility complies with Korean Good Supplying Practices (KGSP) and adheres to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
The centre has cold chain and redressing facilities besides 24-hour monitoring and security systems. It will enable DKSH to offer its business partners with customised services.
DKSH Korea Business Unit Healthcare general manager Joo-Hwan Han said that the new distribution center complements the company's existing healthcare distribution centers in Korea and will support the enhancement of its capabilities to better support the growth of the clients and customers in the country.
"Focusing on medical devices, the distribution center will help DKSH to strengthen its position as partner of choice for medical devices companies who want to expand their business in Korea," Han added.
