US-based paperboard packaging firm Zumbiel Packaging has secured an ISO-based food safety certification, FSSC 22000.
Zumbiel Packaging, in a bid to achieve industry certification for its facility, has successfully implemented all prerequisite programs to safeguard food safety and guarantee quality control.
The food safety standard ensures that every process involved in the supply chain takes precautions against biological and chemical hazards to the food.
Zumbiel Packaging quality assurance director Terrence Price said, "Zumbiel has always taken food safety very seriously and we are proud to receive this certification as a result of all the hard work our team does every day to ensure product safety and quality."
The family-owned company offers a range of packaging solutions to clients in the beverage, food and general consumer product markets.
