Solargiga Energy Holdings to Adjust Operations Through Increasing Production of PV Modules

China-based Solargiga Energy Holdings plans to adjust its current operations through increasing production of PV modules and stepping into PV system installation projects, with PV modules and PV system installation to each account for one-third of total revenues, according to company CEO Hsu You-yuan.

Solargiga currently focuses on production of solar-grade monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers, with an annual ingot-growing capacity of 1.3GWp, of which 80% is for P-type models and 20% for N-type ones, as well as an annual capacity of 90MWp for ingot slicing, Hsu said. In addition, Solargiga has an annual capacity of 30MWp monocrystalline silicon solar cells and 30MWp for PV modules, Hsu indicated. 70% of PV module output is exported to Japan for own-brand sale and OEM clients, Hsu noted.

Solargiga will expand its annual ingot slicing capacity to 120MWp, and PV module capacity to 60MWp in 2014, Hsu said. In addition, Solargiga with set up a PV module factory with initial annual production capacity of 15MWp in Turkey in 2014 to supply nearby markets, Hsu indicated.

Solargiga has begun to provide EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) services for PV system installation projects and expects to win projects with a total installation capacity of 20-30MWp in 2014, Hsu said.
