US carmaker Ford Motor is planning to debut its Ford Focus ST in China at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing this month.
The new model will be powered by 2.0 litre Ford EcoBoost four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox which will generate 250hp and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds.
It will also feature a ratio 6-speed manual transmission, sport tuned suspension, performance braking components.
The car is equipped with torque steer compensation, which works in along with the variable ratio electronic power steering system to eliminate torque steer.
Ford said that it is developing one common Focus ST model for all global markets which is scheduled to be launched this year.
