Packaging provider in the US, PaperWorks Industries has selected the third party logistics (3PL) provider Transplace to manage shipments throughout North America.
To achieve better visibility, cut down transportation costs and improve overall operational efficiency for outbound shipments, Transplace will employ its transportation management system (TMS) from two mill facilities of PaperWorks to its customers present throughout the country.
PaperWorks Industries Paperboard Group executive vice president Mark Roy said Transplace brings experience of the packaging and manufacturing industry and comprehensive logistics technology to help the organization increase service levels.
"Through our collaborative partnership, PaperWorks will look to improve its transportation planning, execution and management and established centralized processes across all of our mill facilities for greater operational efficiency," Roy said.
TMS will offer an enhanced perspective to PaperWorks on its transportation operations and allow the company to analyze key performance data and develop strategies for meeting its goals pertaining to transportation and procurement.
PaperWorks produces specialized folding cartons, and its Paperboard Group manufactures about 300,000t of 100% recycled paperboard annually.
