Property and casualty insurance provider, the Hanover Insurance Group (THG), has introduced a new billing system, to offer convenience and flexibility in the billing process, while enabling agents to boost customer relationships.
The US based underwriter said that the new system has been built based on the feedback provided by agents and customers and will be available for both commercial lines and personal lines customers.
Offering better printed billing statements that are easy to understand, the technology empowers Hanover agents to work with their customers to create a customized experience that meets their unique needs.
Hanover Insurance Group chief information and operations officer Greg Tranter said the billing is the single largest source of customer complaints, which acts as the most visible and important touch points to help its agent to execute business efficiently.
"We believe that the investment in our new billing platform has enormous potential to further improve customer satisfaction and our agency operations," Tranter added.
Some of the benefits provided by the new billing system include, combined billing options that allows business and personal insurance policyholders to consolidate their Hanover policies within a single bill.
Its flexible payment dates, empowers policyholders to select a due date for their premium, suitable for policy holders who can better align billing dates with their needs.
The new system offers an array of bill payment options to customers, such as monthly and bi-monthly billing, one-time payments and more.
In a bid to enable quick and accurate status updates, the system eliminates a common area of disturbance and helps agents and customers to glance through important information such as recent transactions, and amount due.
