PBF Group Developed an Innovative Integrated Power Supply

Portable and off-grid power developer PBF Group has developed an innovative integrated power supply in collaboration with UV disinfection specialist Van Remmen UV Techniek. The new power supply further increases the energy efficiency and performance of Van Remmen’s industry-leading UV disinfection systems. PBF – a member of the German-based SFC Energy Group – is a leading developer of customer-specific power solutions, e. G. DC-DC converters and switched-mode power supplies. The PBF engineering team has already developed a controller unit for Van Remmen’s UV disinfection systems. Now, working with the Van Remmen R&D team, they have integrated this controller with a precise power supply into a highly energy-efficient power unit. Van Remmen UV Techniek disinfection systems use UV-C light to disinfect water and surfaces. The process is a non-contact, non-chemical, non-taint technique that leaves no residuals. No other disinfection technique offers this unique set of advantages. Van Remmen systems are used in water applications requiring hygienic, bacteria-free conditions, e. G. Disinfection of drinking, surface, and swimming pool water, water transport, as well as in pharmaceutical and food processing. ‘The support of the PBF power experts in the development of our new integrated controller and power supply was extremely valuable for us, ’ says Ton van Remmen, Managing Director of Van Remmen UV Techniek. ‘The new integrated power unit is a true USP for our customers, as it reduces their total cost of ownership while significantly increasing the system’s energy efficiency. ’ Source: filtsep
