UK-based Intelligent Packaging Solutions(IPS) has launched a new tamper evident packaging called TE-cap designed for the ice cream market.
TE-cap comes with a paper pot and a deep-freeze grade polypropylene lid, which offers a tamper proof seal to ensure product security and ease of opening while the re-closure offers additional convenience to customers.
Injection moulded break-off tab and skirt of the packaging solution eliminates the need for foil/membrane sealing and offers instant evidence whether the pack is tampered with or not.
IPS sales and marketing manager Gerard Connolly said the TE-cap would be the perfect packaging solution which eliminates the need for heat sealing, improves line efficiencies and optimizes package safety..
"We are confident that the TE-cap will make an immediate impact in the frozen dairy sector. It offers effective decorative options for visual impact and maintains product freshness, making it ideal for other markets including chilled foods and ready to eat products," Connolly said.
According to the company, the paper container provides enhanced insulation, can sport better print quality for visibility of the product and suits well for deep freezing. The paperboard for the pot is made of renewable resources and the lid is recyclable, the company said.
