GlucoMen, a brand of A.Menarini Diagnostics, has introduced a new smartphone app GlucoLog Lite to maintain a complete record of patients' blood glucose history without paper logbook.
The GlucoLog Lite app records the results of all the tests of the patients for them to access it during consultations, enabling analysis of the effectiveness of their treatment.
The results within the app can be viewed in a simple logbook, graph or chart formats and can even be emailed by the patient to healthcare professionals. GlucoMen business unit manager Chris Betts said that the free GlucoLog Lite app has been designed to help people with diabetes manage their condition using their Smartphone to store vital information and share it with their specialist.
"It is estimated that over 30% of people in the UK now own a Smartphone so GlucoLog Lite offers people with diabetes a convenient way to improve their care," Betts added.
The GlucoLog Lite app can be used to enter the results either manually or by using GlucoMen's GlucoLog Bluetooth device which links up with the smartphone to download all results to the app from the blood glucose meter.
