IBC Has Promoted Amanda Dean as Regional Vice President for Atlantic Canada

Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) has promoted Amanda Dean as regional vice president for Atlantic Canada, to oversee its government relations activities and community and stakeholder outreach initiatives across the region.

Dean, who joined IBC in 2006, will be responsible for development and implementation of an effective advocacy strategy for property and casualty insurance industry.

It is aimed to achieve key industry policy priorities, including coordinating consumer outreach programs on injury prevention and working on adaptation to severe weather initiatives.

In addition, Dean will serve as the industry's spokesperson in the Atlantic region.

Commenting on the promotion, IBC president and CEO Don Forgeron said Dean has knowledge of the Atlantic region's issues, and also good support from IBC's member companies in the region.

IBC is the national industry association representing Canada's private home, car and business insurers, with its member companies accounting for 90% of the property and casualty (P&C) insurance market in the country.
