Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Group Co. (Ansteel) has announced its financial results for the first three quarters of the current year. Accordingly, in the given period Ansteel achieved a net profit of RMB 765 million ($125.6 million), up 124.13 percent as compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in the January-September period Ansteel recorded an operating revenue of RMB 56.16 billion ($9.22 billion), down 3.8 percent year on year. In the third quarter alone, the steel producer's operating revenue totaled RMB 19.238 billion ($3.16 billion), up 1.28 percent year on year.
