According to report, UK Steel reported its output only rose 1% from 2011.
The average output of 2012 was 184,264 tons per week, compared to 182,269 tons per week in 2011.
Its data says that the economic stagnation over the year as well as the lower automotive production in Europe and construction activity in UK.
In fact, the output was even 30% lower than 2008 and 2009 level. One plant was shut down in last January.
The company hopes that it can see the government’s policy to help the industrial growth and raise the manufacturing competitiveness.
