US-based fermented probiotic and kombucha beverages manufacturer KeVita has added two new flavours to its Kombucha line.
The new flavors, Blueberry Basil and Roots Beer, join KeVita's portfolio of drinks.
KeVita stated that the two new flavours were developed after taking into account the current trend on innovative pairings.
Blueberry Basil is a combination of two flavours that give the classic kombucha a new spin. The mild flavours of Blueberry are claimed to combine well with the slight peppery flavour of basil.
The Roots Beer flavour profile offers a blend of earthy roots, along with a combination of cinnamon and vanilla flavours for a modern and alternative to root beer soda, claims KeVita.
Each of KeVita’s Blueberry Basil and Roots Beer bottles are claimed to contain live probiotics, active cultures, organic acids, organic caffeine, along with 35 calories per 8-ounce serving.
KeVita also claims to be the only verified non-alcoholic kombucha product in the market. The two new flavours join Kombucha’s family of eleven other flavours including Ginger, Pineapple Peach, Tart Cherry, Dragonfruit Lemongrass, Citrus and Raspberry Lemon.
KeVita marketing director Andrew Thomas said: "We know that fans of KeVita, and kombucha drinkers in general, tend to be culinary adventurers.
"We are thrilled to delight these consumers with two unique flavor pairings that reflect some of the most interesting elements of today's food culture."
KeVita stated that the two new flavors will now be available at Whole Foods Markets nationwide.
Established in 2009, KeVita has grown from a single kitchen in Ojai, California to more than 20,000 retail locations across the North American continent. The company claims to be using high quality ingredients, while blending age-old techniques with modern technologies to provide quality, flavour and functionality to its drinks.
