Vitacon US has formed a strategic alliance and national distribution agreement with Pocket Nurse to market its VitaScan LT Bladder Scanner device to the US Healthcare Educators and Medical Simulation Labs.
VitaScan LT is a portable bladder scanner, which enables real-time bladder volume measurement in hospitals, clinics, and long-term care with a new price point.
The device, which uses targeting algorithms software to enable personnel with limited training to obtain accurate measurements in seconds, operates via USB providing nearly limitless storage and data connectivity.
The company has chosen Pocket Nurse to market the VitaScan LT to the education markets due to its reputation and leadership position in the industry.
Vitacon US founder and managing director Spencer Lien said the firm aims to market its bladder scanning technology to universities and colleges.
"The healthcare system is changing rapidly and educators must teach the next generation of healthcare workers when and how to use bladder scanners to stop the growth in costly urinary tract infections," Lien added.
