Staples company Plantin has signed an agreement with Scodix to market and sell the Scodix S Series Digital Presses as well as the Scodix Rainbow station in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Plantin Graphic Systems sales manager Steve Debloem said the new products offered by the company fit well with its goal of pursuing new packaging and graphic art production ideas.
"We welcome Scodix as a promising addition to our packaging and graphic arts partner portfolio," Debloem said.
The digital presses create the Scodix SENSE, a variety of digital print enhancements that bring a tangible dimension to graphic communications.
With Scodix enhancements, the printed image is instilled with an extra physical dimension that creates a sensory experience for the consumer.
Scodix vice president for sales Europe Amos Libermann said, "The relationship between the two high-quality industry leaders is set to open major opportunities for customers to continue developing their brand differentiation at the product level, by providing the consumer with the sensory experience at the product packaging level itself.
