Expera Launches New Prepera Food Processing Papers

Expera Specialty Solutions has expanded its food packaging and processing paper portfolio with the introduction of new Prepera food processing papers.

The new processing papers will keep individual food slices neatly separate and wrapped, while easily releasing from products that were vacuum packaged, frozen or thawed.

Provided in different breadth of performance options, the new layout sheets can be used in and pre-cooked applications.

Expera has designed paper-based solutions to be used in various applications of refrigerated and frozen food categories.

Available in low to high wet-strength varieties, Preper papers will enable to resist oil, grease, and water

Expera sales and marketing vice president Robyn Buss said: "Prepera papers are used in a wide variety of applications and they have the flexibility necessary for unique and demanding applications.

"Whether it's bacon layout, or an interleave application for cheese or meat, these papers are safe, sustainable, and provide the food release properties necessary for all types of performance.

“These are strong papers that prevent fluids from passing through, achieving a high-level of performance for multiple end-use applications."

According to Expera, Prepera papers can be produced with bleached, natural, blended and post-consumer waste recycled options.

Expera produces of specialty paper products for use in the tape, pressure-sensitive release liner, industrial and food packaging applications.

The firm’s manufacturing platform includes machines at four mills located in Rhinelander, Mosinee, Kaukauna and De Pere locations, Wisconsin.
