Axalta Joins Michigan Science Center in Inviting Greater Detroit to Support Colorosity

Are you interested in exploring the vibrant world of color? Consider a visit to Colorosity: The Annual Science Soirée that benefits the Michigan Science Center’s (MiSci) educational and outreach programs. The event includes strolling dinner, exhibits and speaker sessions.

This unique celebration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), blends curiosity and color. It will highlight the science of color through new programs and interactive art and design activities on Saturday, October 24, from 6-11 p.m. at the Michigan Science Center, 5020 John R Street, Detroit, Michigan.

“We are turning MiSci into a STEM wonderland of color and curiosity and taking ‘family night out’ to a whole new level,” said Dr. Tonya Matthews, President and CEO of the Michigan Science Center. “Thanks to support from Axalta, we’re able to bring this amazing event to life and continue to fund our mission of providing access to STEM education to kids in Detroit and throughout Michigan.”

The event, tagged “a little dressy and a lot messy,” will feature fun and engaging activities, including:

Color Psychology – Participants can discover the science of perception at five different stations featuring the interaction of the human brain and senses with the environment.     Explosions of Color – Attendees can enjoy eight interactive experiences using a variety of scientific reactions to produce explosions of color.     Illumination Station – Guests will explore 10 immersive stations illuminating light and color.     Mixing, Morphing & Melting – Kids can get their hands on some color with engaging activities just for young scientists!     Featured Guests
