Recently, the transaction prices of China Steel Corp. (CSC)’s electric furnace (EF) Al-killed finished wire have decreased further in the Taiwanese market. At present, the prices come to NT$23,500/ton.
It’s learned that the transaction prices of CSC’s EF Al-killed finished wires dropped to NT$24,000/ton after CSC cut its list prices for EF Al-killed wire rods by NT$1,400/ton for June.
Furthermore, the transaction prices dropped to NT$23,500/ton recently, affected by CSC’s low-priced wire rod promotion.
However, industry sources predicted that the transaction prices for EF Al-killed finished wire might not decrease further and would stay at the level of NT$23,500/ton in the short term as the raw material prices have stabilized recently.
