POZZOLEONE, Italy (BRAIN) — Later this year Fizik plans to launch a line of cockpit components, including handlebars, stems and seatposts. In the meantime, the Italian brand is testing its new parts with the French World Tour team, Ag2r-La Mondiale.
"Racing is the backbone of the company, and this final development phase will precede the official product launch," a Fizik statement said this week. A company representative said it would release few details of the parts prior to the introduction.
"The cockpit is a big venture for Fizik," said Gabriele Benedetti, the company's global sports marketing manager. "As we have traditionally done with saddle development, the team will act as our live test lab - no other testing can simulate the wear on products that occurs at this level in professional training and racing."
