Infiniti, the luxury vehicle brand of the Japanese carmaker Nissan, is planning to build a new vehicle manufacturing facility in Mexico.
The automaker revealed that the new facility will manufacture a small car and it has already begun the production of a four-cylinder engine designed by Mercedes Benz for it in Decherd facility in the US.
Infiniti manufactures all its models in Japan, apart from for the new JX crossover which has been manufactured in Decherd.
According to Automotive News, the carmaker is now searching for new regions for the facility where the production will not be affected by the value of the yen.
