British sportscar manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled the new Vanquish sports car, which will be the successor to the current DBS model.
The new sports car will be powered by a 6.0litre V12 petrol engine, features company's dual variable valve timing and generates 573PS at 6,750 rpm and 620Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
According to the carmaker, the engine is mated to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox which allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds and offers a top speed of 183 mph.
Features of the Vanquish include a three-stage adjustable suspension offering modes ranging from Normal to Sport to Track and other systems including dynamic stability control (DSC) and positive torque control (PTC) which prevents the locking up of rear wheels in case of engine braking.
The Aston Martin Vanquish is offered as a 2+2 or 2+0 seated variant and will be available in the UK and Continental Europe in late 2012 at a price range starting from GBP189,995.
