It is reported that Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau will begin to operate its new flats mill in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais in April this year. However, the company has not disclosure the specific date to start the operation at this moment. Meanwhile, the company has also indicated the final steps of installation and commissioning of the new mill are being completed and the mill is scheduled to start in the second half of April 2013. In addition, the new facility will design to reach annual hot rolled coil production capacity to 800,000 tons in two years.
